Mold-Masters Announces New Technologies and Products at Upcoming K Show |

Mold-Masters will strengthen its reputation as the technology leader in the hot runner market by introducing several new technology advancements and products to the international plastics industry at the upcoming K Show.
“For years customers have asked hot runner suppliers for a clean room actuation solution for valve gates, and now Mold-Masters has delivered a commercially viable solution. Our new E-DriveTM , servo driven valve actuation unit meets the especially demanding requirements of the medical market” states Bruce Catoen, Mold-Masters VP of Marketing and Business Development. The E-DriveTM is designed for high cavitation and precision molding applications in clean room and oil-free environments. Its advanced servo-feedback control ensures correct pin position and eliminates the need for re-adjustment. At just under 0.1 seconds, it boasts the shortest open/close times in the industry, four times faster than the competition and a major advantage for high performance valve gating applications.
Accu-ValveTM, Mold-Masters pristine valve gating solution, has continued to set standards. The patented melt-disturbance spiral liner used in the system has resulted in industry leading color change results seen in numerous production molds all over the world. Mold-Masters has also made significant advances in large cavitation stack mold design via melt balancing analysis and testing. These applications will be prominently on display at the K Show.
With the successful launch of it’s Fusion-SeriesTM, ideal for the large part and automotive markets, Mold-Masters drop-and-go design has now been expanded to its Master-Series product line. “The Master-Series Hybrid solution is perfect for smaller shot weights but still requiring a drop-in solution with smaller mold cut-outs and quick start ups. Based on the success of the Fusion-SeriesTM we’re confident that this solution appeals to a market that our Fusion-SeriesTM was slightly too large for”, says Doug Hugo, Mold-Masters Automotive Business Manager. The Master-Series Hybrid system includes Centi and Deci nozzles sizes, from 15-500g shot weights, and utilizes some of the most popular Fusion-SeriesTM design features including the innovative shadowed manifold system with single point air/hydraulic and water hook-ups.
As part of the invitation-only research and development area in their K Show booth, Mold-Masters will be demonstrating prototypes of future products. “We’re excited to show our dedicated customers what we’ve been working on at our Research and Development facility” says Murray Feick, Product Development Manager. Included in this exclusive area are ideas for close pitch valve gate applications, new technology for complex manifold shapes as well as new designs for applications with short-shot problems.
