Hot Runner Supplier Mold-Masters Ranks with Global Heavy-weights in Innovation
Names like Xerox, Kodak, Samsung, GE and 3M are known internationally for their innovative products and services. According to The Patent Board, a highly regarded industrial review board who has rated companies on innovation since 1968, hot runner supplier Mold-Masters ranks above them all in innovation.
The Board, which publishes a ranking quarterly, lists Mold-Masters in position #60 on a list that includes global heavy-weights such as Toyota, IBM, Intel, DuPont and Nokia. In the industrial components section of the rankings, Mold-Masters is #3.
“Innovation has been a core competency of Mold-Masters since Jobst Gellert founded the company in 1963,” says Jonathon Fischer, President of Mold-Masters. “It is nice to get recognized as an innovator at a global level because it reinforces our belief that innovation will propel our business forward. With over 1600 patents and more than 70% of all current products covered by patents, Mold-Masters is the clear #1 in the injection molding industry. Only one other company in the injection molding industry makes the global top 500 list.
To support this brand image, Mold-Masters designed their K show booth around a theme of innovation. Mold-Masters will be displaying many recent innovations such as an electric valve gate, a modular hot runner for automotive applications, a precision cylindrical valve gate and new lifecycle care services. But they have gone even further by building an exclusive, by-invitation-only research and development lab right in their booth to show customers some of the future products they are working on. “We have a history of innovation that has helped our customers to be more successful molders in the past, but we see even more innovation in the future” says Patrick Bennett, Executive VP of Mold-Masters. “We wanted to give our key customers a peek at the future products and services we are working on to make sure we are headed in the right direction. We believe that creating an R&D lab right in our booth at K is both a unique and ideal place to get this feedback.” |
